Writing credits
I started writing fiction 'seriously' in 2003 (not the best timing as a few months later I promptly headed off on a year-long round the world trip). I've also flirted with writing comedy for TV and radio and the stage in the past. Below is a fairly random list of successes.Recent publications
- November 22nd (Your Messages anthology, Bluechrome Publishing, January 2008)
- Fallen Fruit (Image Coal anthology, Leaf Books, February 2008)
Short fiction
- Holding On (Twisted Tongue magazine, December 2007)
- Shopping Lists (Defenestration magazine, August 2007)
- The Weekly List (short-listed for Fish Publishing Short Story Competition, 2006)
- David's Haircut (published on the East of the Web website. Now being developed into a short film and used on the reading curriculum for schools in Washington State, USA, 2005)
- Message Received (Orange Labyrinth competition first prize, 2004)
- Last Christmas At Hawthorne House (Sur in English, 2004)
- A Touch Of Your Own Medicine (syndicated to various magazines, 2003)
- Full-Time (Football Crazy, anthology published by New Words 2003)
Broadcast & stage work
- Come Together (co-writer of BBC sitcom pilot)
- Meanwhile (contributor to BBC radio comedy show pilot)
- Various sketches (BBC Radio 4's Weekending, 1996-8)
- I have written and performed in comedy shows at several venues in Bristol, including early versions of The Sitcom Trials, which was developed into a TV series for ITV1.
Non-fiction
- The Road More Travelled (a travel book about my journey around the world. This was finished in 2006 and is now seeking a publisher.)
